  • Why choose Resilient Therapy and Movement?
1 on 1 treatment sessions with patient centered care; goal of identifying the CAUSE of your symptoms Convenient physical therapy and wellness services in the comfort of your preferred setting: home, work, etc.. Lifelong relationship between client and therapist; going well beyond the injury/episode. Tele-medicine services (evaluation and treatment) provided. HIPPA compliant e-visits using Zoom TeleHealth.
  • Do I need a referral to be seen at Resilient Therapy and Movement?
No! As of September 1, 2019, patients can see a licensed and qualified Physical Therapist in Texas for 10 or 15 consecutive business days without a referral. (Dr. Mora qualifies for 15 days of direct access due to having completed a fellowship in a orthopedic manual therapy). If you need treatment beyond that, we will work with your primary care provider to get a referral for continued therapy. Already have a referral? Perfect! Please provide it during your initial physical therapy evaluation.
  • Why is Resilient Therapy and Movement out-of-network with insurance companies?
We believe one on one care is the best approach for us to help meet your goals! Most in-network companies need to see 2-3 patients per hour to be profitable (often utilizing physical therpay aides to direct treatment). Insurance companies then dictate the number of visits allowed and what treatment(s) they deem appropriate. Ultimately this approach limits the therapist in providing the best care possible and hinders your progress. Resilient Therapy and Movement prides itself on providing one on one highly skilled therapy without the limitations or restrictions from insurance companies.
  • Can I request reimbursement for physical therapy from my insurance company for out of pocket expenses?
Yes! Depending on your benefits, you can submit to your insurance company out of network therapy benefits: Resilient Therapy will provide you the needed receipts and treatment codes for possible reimbursement from your insurance company. This is known as a "superbill". Call your provider before you visit Resilient Therapy to confirm out-of-network therapy benefits as well as any pre-authorization requirements. Please note: Your reimbursement rate is set by your insurance company.
  • How do I know if Telehealth is right for me?
Many conditions can be treated with great success with telehealth Physical Therapy. Although some individuals do require hands-on care, your physical therapist during the initial exam will discuss your specific needs to help meet your goals and determine the best treatment options. There is also the option of a mix program of a hands-on session(s) as well as teleheath visits. We are determined to deliver the highest care with quality and expertise.
